The Village of Grayslake is thrilled to join communities across the nation in celebrating American’s 250th anniversary in 2026 – marking 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. This milestone offers us a special opportunity to reflect on the history, unity, and spirit that makes the United States of America so remarkable.

Beginning in 2026, you’ll start to see Grayslake’s USA 250 patriotic, American-themed events and celebrations happening throughout the calendar year from January - December. Our Village will proudly honor this important milestone, inviting the community to reflect on our rich past and exciting future.
